Eterno? Això si que no!

Sinopsis

“What is irritating about desperation is its legitimacy, its obviousness, its documentary natural, making a mere report. Consider, on the other hand, hope-its generosit y with error, its inclination to fantasize, its rejection of the event: it is an aberration, fiction. And it is this aberration that life consists, and fiction is what feeds it.”
Emil Cioran, the circle of loneliness.

“I am a ridiculous man. Now they said I’m mad. This should mean a rise in status, it not for the fact
they continue considering me mad, as ridiculous as ever. But I no longer get angry. But I do not get angry anymore. Now everyone is nice to me.For some strange reason, they are particularly endearing to me, because they do not know the truth; I do, I know. “
Fiódor Dostoyevski, A dream of a ridiculous man.

Structured madness

Without blinking and raised in his armchair was the audience before Eternal? Això yes no! the overflowing and imaginative spectacle of the dancer and choreographer Marta Carrasco. Marta Carrasco is a beautiful and intelligent woman, two qualities that become bait of her montages. Obsessive and magnificently developed and performed mounts that swim between the sinuous waters that separate theater and dance. Eternal? Yes, I do not! is a piece of great aesthetic beauty and a great plot density. Obsessive and magnificently developed and performed mounts that swim between the sinuous waters that separate theater and dance. Eternal? Yes, I do not! is a piece of great aesthetic beauty and a great plot density. Their recreation, in the face of the impossibility of the human being to reach eternity, is inserted in a key of humor, but later, like the previous montage, the memories of childhood, motherhood and solitude.

Before the assembly of the Carrasco, madness mathematically structured, one must be left to abandon.

Sadly delighted

Marta Carrasco begins her residency at the National Theater of Catalonia with a show that seems to have touched the expressive possibilities of her imagination. We say it seems since we believe it impossible to go any further, to be more credible, to recreate the inner tear more or the inability to tolerate the crudeness of life, than what these five characters give us.
Marta Carrasco’s company cannot be asked for more; the merit of the direction is undeniable: the changes of emotional registers, so and so fast, so true, are an insuperable sentimental lesson and for that very reason, we left the National sadly delighted.

The children’s altarpieces of Carrasco

To the spectacles of Marta Carrasco every time the definitions feel worse to him. The choreographer works with an image that encompasses both the dreamlike and the biomechanical and plays with all the elements that can be used on stage.

Eterno? Això si que no! It is constructed like a succession of tables made with the word, the gesture, the light and the music in a neutral scenic space, enclosed by a curtain wall of radiographs. Marta Carrasco wants to seduce the spectator, to catch him in his games, and for this, he knows all the scenic languages without preeminence of one over the others.
